PLANS IN FOR TELFORD BUS STATION REDEVELOPMENT

A planning application for the redevelopment of Telford's Bus Station has been submitted to Telford & Wrekin Council.

The proposals – the latest phase of the multi-million pound transformation of the town centre – see the existing out-dated bus station replaced with a new, contemporary and more welcoming facility in the same location.

The application follows a public consultation in March, when nearly 1,500 people viewed the plans for the project over three days in the shopping centre.

WORK STARTS ON NEW SOUTHERN QUARTER RESTAURANTS

Sovereign Centros, the UK retail and leisure developer and asset manager, announces that it has started construction today on the first phase of the £200 million regeneration of Telford Shopping Centre.

Contractor, Thomas Vale, has begun work on the 26,500 sq ft first phase development, known as the Southern Quarter, on the site of the former Focus store or ‘Green Shed’, which was demolished in 2014.  Completion is expected in the first quarter of 2017.
