Budding entrepreneurs from schools across Shropshire will be heading to Telford Shopping Centre on Saturday 6th February to display their innovations as part of the 2016 Young Enterprise Exhibition.

Returning to the shopping centre in its 53rd year, Young Enterprise is an international competition which provides local students with an opportunity to develop their commercial skills into viable, profitable businesses with support from link teachers and businesses.

This year 27 teams of young entrepreneurs will set up shop in Telford Shopping Centre to showcase their fledgling businesses, selling their products to shoppers and impressing the judges with their expertise.

Chris Jones, Centre Director for Telford Shopping Centre, said: “Young Enterprise is an outstanding organisation. Every year we see great talent, innovation and creativity from the business leaders of the future. It is fantastic opportunity for Shropshire students to develop a business and manage every aspect from finances to marketing, and is an ideal way to learn practical commercial skills.

“We are delighted to be involved and accommodate this very special trade fair. Not only is it a great chance for students to showcase their skills, it also lets shoppers across the region witness first-hand the emerging talent in Shropshire. We wish all participating groups every success with their individual ventures.”

David Graham, Manager at Young Enterprise Shropshire, said; “Following the trade shows in Telford and Shrewsbury, Young Enterprise will be celebrating the achievements of the students alongside business leaders at The Park Inn, Telford in May. Local winners will then go through to the regional finals which are being held in Shropshire for the first time at Shrewsbury Football Club's Greenhous Stadium in June.”

The trade fair will be at Telford Shopping Centre on Saturday 6th February and a second event on Saturday 5th March.  For more information, please visit
